A little gathering in green, with festive hats, golden accents, and plenty of personality: this St. Patrick’s Day project brought several doll outfits together in one miniature celebration. The workroom snapshots show the photography setup, while the finished pictures reveal the costumes and their smaller details.
Different Characters, One Colour Story
Green connects the group, but each doll has a distinct look. One wears a sparkling green outfit with a tall hat and striped stockings; another pairs a short green dress with a small pink hat. A blonde doll brings a softer contrast with a white cape over her green dress and a decorative headpiece.

The male dolls add tailored jackets, waistcoats, and trousers to the collection. Their outfits share the festive palette without repeating the same silhouette, giving the group the feeling of a small cast rather than a matching set.

The Details Deserve a Close-Up
The finished photographs offer a closer look at the accessories: green hats with gold-coloured ornaments, decorative neckpieces, contrasting white cuffs and collars, and glittering footwear worn with striped stockings. A miniature treasure chest with scattered gold-coloured pieces adds a playful touch to the scene.

These are the details that can disappear in a group portrait. Photographing them separately gives each one its own moment—and shows how the accessories contribute to the character of an outfit.
Behind the Camera
Before those close-ups came the practical side of the photoshoot. The behind-the-scenes photographs show the dolls arranged against a dark backdrop, surrounded by lights and equipment. A reflective surface beneath them creates a second view of the figures and their bright green costumes.

The finished group photographs retain that reflective effect, while individual portraits let the different outfits stand on their own. Together, the two sets of images tell a fuller story: how the scene was arranged and what the camera ultimately captured.
A Little Celebration from My Atelier
Finding the finished photographs makes this archive feel more complete. Alongside the workroom views, they preserve both sides of the project, the practical setup and the festive world created within it.

From a tiny hat ornament to the whole gathering in green, each photograph holds a different part of this miniature St. Patrick’s Day celebration.
